How we work
Async-first
No mandatory daily standups. We communicate in writing and default to long-form over real-time.
Remote-native
We have no physical office. Every process is designed for distributed teams from the start.
Ownership
You own your work end to end. We hire senior people because we trust them to make decisions.
No meetings by default
Meetings are opt-in and have a written agenda. Most decisions happen in documents, not calls.
You will work on the FastAPI backend modules (UAPS, PREM, GREM, SAGE). This means designing APIs, writing migrations, improving performance, and maintaining security posture across our Python codebase. We move fast, but we don't cut corners on testing or documentation.
Requirements
•5+ years of Python backend experience
•Deep knowledge of FastAPI and Pydantic V2
•Experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, migrations, RLS)
•Familiarity with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms
•Strong understanding of auth patterns (JWT, OAuth2, refresh token rotation)
•Experience with payment processor integrations (Stripe preferred)
Nice to have
•Experience with asyncio and async database drivers
•Background in fintech or billing systems
•Open source contributions
•Experience with Railway or similar deployment platforms
You will build the Next.js 15 frontend layer for Kiban BOS modules and the kiban.dev marketing site. You care deeply about developer experience, performance, and accessible UI. You have strong opinions about component architecture and are comfortable working with App Router, Server Components, and Tailwind CSS.
Requirements
•4+ years of React/TypeScript experience
•Deep familiarity with Next.js 15 App Router and Server Components
•Strong Tailwind CSS proficiency
•Experience with Supabase SSR and client-side session management
You will own Kiban's developer experience from first impression to production deploy. This means writing documentation, creating tutorials, building example projects, and being the face of Kiban in developer communities. You are a developer yourself — you write code, you understand what's confusing, and you explain things clearly.
Requirements
•3+ years of software development experience (full-stack preferred)
•Proven track record writing technical documentation developers actually read
•Experience producing tutorials, blog posts, or video content for a technical audience
•Ability to build and maintain example applications that showcase product features
•Strong written communication in English (Spanish is a significant plus)
Nice to have
•Experience with developer communities on Twitter/X, Discord, or Hacker News
•Background building indie SaaS products
•Experience with docs-as-code tooling (MDX, Nextra, Mintlify)
