Our mission
“We build infrastructure so founders can build products.”
Trapalanda LLC is a small, independent software company based in Latin America. We make the Kiban Business Operating System — a complete developer toolkit that gives you authentication, payments, growth tooling, and a support infrastructure from a single npx command.
Why we built Kiban
Before starting Trapalanda, the founding team spent years building SaaS products from scratch. Every single one started the same way: two weeks of boilerplate. Auth flows, password reset emails, Stripe webhooks, role systems, onboarding checklists. The same foundational work, over and over.
There were tools that claimed to solve this. Most were hosted services that charged per monthly active user, took a cut of revenue, or locked you into their infrastructure. The ones that were self-hostable were either unmaintained, underdocumented, or built for a different stack entirely.
We wanted something different: a complete, opinionated stack built on technology we trusted (FastAPI, Next.js, Supabase), with a fair business model (perpetual license, own the code forever), and documentation honest enough that a solo founder could ship in 24 hours without reading source code.
Kiban is what we wish had existed when we started. We built it for ourselves first. We’re sharing it because we think the indie developer community deserves better infrastructure tooling than what’s available today.
What we believe
Sovereignty
Every tool we build is self-hostable. Your data lives in your database, on your infrastructure. We sell software, not access to our servers. When you buy Kiban, you own it.
Transparency
Our pricing is public. Our roadmap is public. Our license terms are written in plain language. We don't hide what you're getting, what we collect, or how we make money.
Pragmatism
We build what founders actually need, not what looks impressive in demos. Every feature in Kiban exists because we — or developers we trust — needed it and couldn't find a good existing solution.
The team
We are a small, async, remote team. Everyone writes code. Everyone talks to users. We have no middle management, no open-plan office, and no mandatory video calls.
